The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our September “Third Thursday Lunch and Learn” event will feature guest speaker, Bob Fraser! Bob fell in love with the magic of Woolaroc as a little boy and fifty years later, that little boy walked through the doors as the CEO of the Frank Phillips Foundation, overseeing the daily operations of Woolaroc and eventually, The Frank Phillips Home.
Join us as Bob discusses oil man Frank Phillips and how he became a monument to the history of the west. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lunch or enjoy light refreshments provided by BAHM.
This event will be held Thursday, September 19th, from 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s newest exhibit “Our Oily Past: The Phillips Family” on display from July 8th through October 1st. Tables and chairs will be set up for people who bring a lunch, and little ones may enjoy our history of oil coloring station.
The Museum is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (closed on weekends and holidays) at 401 S. Johnstone Avenue, 5th Floor. Museum entry is free, but donations are always welcome. No reservation is necessary. If you have questions, you may reach Bartlesville Area History Museum staff at (918) 338-4290 or history@cityofbartlesville.org.
