We love to be asked these questions here at the Bartlesville Area History Museum! We are in the buesiness of protecting, collecting, preserving, and sharing our history in Washington County and the surrounding areas. We are thrilled when you want to talk to us about pieces of local history and are always interested in know about objects that could be added to the Musuem’s colletion. 

We love to preserve documents, photographs and photograph negatives, postcards, books pertaining to area history, store bottles with embossed names, menus, trophies, and journals or diaries… this is just a small set of exmaples. If it has to do with local history, we’d love to talk to you about it. 

The Museum is made up completely of donated items from people who value history as much as we do. By donating items to the museum, you are helping to fulfill the mission of the Bartlesville Area History Museum: to ensure the collection, preservation and presentation of the history of Bartlesville and the surrounding areas of Washington County and to provide access to Bartlesville area history and historical educational opportunities for people of all ages.

Please feel free to call or visit us anytime, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We are more than happy to answer your questions concerning possible donations.

The Bartlesville Area History Museum is pleased to annouce its digitized records collection with over 150,000 documents and growing! This resource is free and open to the public to utilize for research.
