DESCRIPTION:This Fall\, BAHM is proud to present: “Outlaw Trails and Legendary Hideouts” On display from October 1st through January 9th\, the exhibit takes visitors on a journey exploring the hideouts infamous outlaws occupied and the trails that led them there. \nThe Sooner State has a pretty wild past and Oklahoma’s outlaw hideouts are a testament to that wild past and its role in the American West. Discover how Robbers Cave was once a hideout for famed outlaw Jesse James and how hay-days of infamous gangs like the Daltons and the Doolins tied them to Bartlesville!

DESCRIPTION:The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our “October Lunch and Learn” event will feature guest speaker\, Mark Archuleta! Archuleta is an Emmy-winning screenwriter\, journalist\, and performer. A fifth-generation Coloradoan of Spanish Basque descent\, he grew up steeped in the history of the American West and the colorful characters who inhabited it. Archuleta loves exploring how historical fact is refracted through the prism of film and television. \nJoin us as Archuleta presents his book\, “The Reel Thrilling Events of Bank Robber Henry Starr: From Gentleman Bandit to Movie Star and Back Again.” Through surviving memorabilia\, newspaper accounts\, and interviews with people who worked with him on set\, author Mark Archuleta traces how the reformed Gentleman Bandit attempted to use the power of cinema to reframe his life story and redeem himself in the eyes of the public\, his family\, and the Cherokee Nation. “The Reel Thrilling Events of Bank Robber Henry Starr: From Gentleman Bandit to Movie Star and Back Again.” is about more than heists and Hollywood glamor. \nThis event will be held Thursday\, October 9th\, from 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s newest exhibit “Outlaw Trails and Legendary Hideouts\,” on display from October through January 1st\, 2026. Tables and chairs will be set up for people who bring a lunch\, and little ones may enjoy our history of outlaws coloring station. Copies of the book may be purchased in the BAHM gift shop! Visit the Bartlesville Public Library for information on the book club they are hosting in honor of Archuleta!

DESCRIPTION:Calling all Boos and Ghouls! The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our annual Spooktacular Halloween Walk! Goblins 10 years or younger\, will be guided through BAHM where they can find candy stops and win spooky prizes at game stations. \nFamilies can enjoy our ghoulish selfie station and a craft! This is sure to be a family friendly event you won’t want to miss! The event is free but supplies are limited. The event will last as long the supplies do. \nThis event will be held Friday\, October 24th \, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. While here\, attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s newest exhibit “Outlaw Trails and Legendary Hideouts” on display from October 1th through January 9th or your ghostly little may enjoy our spooky coloring station!
