DESCRIPTION:This spring\, BAHM is proud to present: “Our Culinary Past” on display from April 7th through July 7th. The exhibit takes visitors on a delectable trek down memory lane of Washington County’s most popular restaurants and how the past shaped the flavors of our community today! \n  \nFood has served as an essential part of human history and has not only provided sustenance but has also played a key role in the development of modern culture. Learn how the flavors of early indigenous people\, combined with European\, Spanish\, and African flavors resulted in the rich\, southern inspired piquancy of our foods today! Guests will discover how the need for nourishment while traveling\, catalyzed the development of the first restaurants\, helping to shape the social importance of dining together!

SUMMARY:July Lunch and Learn - E. Sean Standing Bear
DESCRIPTION:The Bartlesville Area History Museum is proud to announce a special event for our July Lunch & Learn series. On July 17\, 2025 from 12:00-1:00PM\, E. Sean Standing Bear\, great-grandson to Osage Chief Fred Lookout and Julia Lookout\, and grandson of Eugene George Standing Bear and Mary Nora (Lookout). Standing Bear will visit the museum to share stories passed down to him from his grandmother\, Nora. Mr. Standing Bear is the former director of the Osage Nation Museum in Pawhuska. Pairing his experience at the museum with his extensive knowledge of oral history\, he will share stories that allow a rare glimpse of the past. Bring your lunch and a friend\, and join us for this special event. \nThe Museum is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (closed on weekends and holidays) at 401 S.
