DESCRIPTION:The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our September “Third Thursday Lunch and Learn” event will feature guest speaker\, Bob Fraser! Bob fell in love with the magic of Woolaroc as a little boy and fifty years later\, that little boy walked through the doors as the CEO of the Frank Phillips Foundation\, overseeing the daily operations of Woolaroc and eventually\, The Frank Phillips Home. Join us as Bob discusses how oil man Frank Phillips became the man of his castle\, the Frank Phillips home. \nThis event will be held Thursday\, September 18th\, from 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s newest exhibit “Legacy of Structures\, and Architecture That Shaped Us\,” on display from July through October 1st. Tables and chairs will be set up for people who bring a lunch\, and little ones may enjoy our history of architecture coloring station. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Bartlesville Area History Museum is excited to announce our August “Lunch and Learn” event will feature guest speaker\, former State representative and Will Rogers Memorial Museum Director\, Tad Jones! \nJones\, became the 6th Executive Director of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and is currently working on a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding of the Museum. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore\, is a testament to the life and legacy of the famous American author and adventurer. As the Executive Director\, Jones has been instrumental in preserving and sharing the life of Will Rogers for future generations. \nIn honor of National Aviation Day and the 90th year anniversary of the deadly plane crash that claimed the lives of famous aviator Wiley Post and Will Rogers\, Tad will discuss the life of Will Rogers and path that led to his untimely death. \nThis event will be held Thursday\, August 14th\, from 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the museum’s newest exhibit “Legacy of Structures and Architecture That Shaped Us” on display from July 7th through October 7th. Tables and chairs will be set up for people who bring a lunch\, and little ones may enjoy our history of architecture coloring station and games! \n

SUMMARY:July Lunch and Learn - E. Sean Standing Bear
DESCRIPTION:The Bartlesville Area History Museum is proud to announce a special event for our July Lunch & Learn series. On July 17\, 2025 from 12:00-1:00PM\, E. Sean Standing Bear\, great-grandson to Osage Chief Fred Lookout and Julia Lookout\, and grandson of Eugene George Standing Bear and Mary Nora (Lookout). Standing Bear will visit the museum to share stories passed down to him from his grandmother\, Nora. Mr. Standing Bear is the former director of the Osage Nation Museum in Pawhuska. Pairing his experience at the museum with his extensive knowledge of oral history\, he will share stories that allow a rare glimpse of the past. Bring your lunch and a friend\, and join us for this special event. \nThe Museum is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (closed on weekends and holidays) at 401 S.
