Joan Singleton is serving as Director of the Bartlesville Area History Museum. She is the Director of the Bartlesville Public Library, holding that position since 2001. Previously, she was Assistant Director and Public Services Librarian in charge on the Local & Family History Area. From 1989-1996, she was responsible for the Museum collection and Exhibits when the Museum was a part of the Library. Joan holds a master's degree in Library Science from North Texas State University.
Collections Registrar of the Bartlesville Area History Museum, Clapper is responsible for keeping records of existing museum artifacts and for keeping the inventory of museum artifacts up to date. Born and raised in Bartlesville, Matt attended several local area schools and with work experience in various locations throughout the community. He was a Boy Scout, a member of Venture Crew 3, and his hobbies include; hiking, reading, video games, videos/movies, canoeing/kayaking, camping, rock climbing, skiing, amusement parks. He loves history and visited a reenactment camp at Fort Williams near Ontario, Canada. His most current employment history was staff person of the Bartlesville Public Library, for five years. Matthew came to the Museum in October of 2006 as the Registrar and he is also currently a student of Rogers State University, studying for his Bachelors in Liberal Arts, with a goal of reaching his Masters in Library Science. Volunteer Coordinator of the Bartlesville History Museum for three years, Crabtree is responsible for the activities of Volunteers in the museum..Other duties include contact for Public Relations and Publicity for the museum, she arranges group tours, does museum purchasing and event scheduling. Before coming to the museum Crabtree researched in three counties of Oklahoma for seven years, for families all over the United States. She served on the Nowata Genealogical Society and has many years of experience as a professional historical and genealogical researcher. Crabtree also served as the Compilation Chairperson for the Washington County Family History Book that was published in 2006. Education Coordinator of the Bartlesville Area History Museum for three years, Little coordinates educational programming for the museum working with area school teachers to introduce students to the area’s history.Other duties include recruiting volunteer schoolmarms, conducts training, and coordinating school groups participating in the museum’s education programs, and tour guide. Little has been an educator for most of her life, teaching in Copan as well as area home schooling programs. Assistant Photo Archivist as of May of 2008, Neece is responsible for accessioning, digitizing and properly storing the museum’s photographic collection. Debbie loves genealogy and local history and has compiled and published several personal family history books.Neece contributed many personal hours to the compilation and publication of the book, “Family Histories of Washington County”, which was released in December of 2006.
