WELCOME TO THE MUSEUM!

As a result of Bartlesville residents passing a bond issue in 1998, the Bartlesville Area History Museum relocated to the City Center at Fourth Street and Johnstone Avenue.  Months of preparation were devoted to planning and designing the 10,000 square feet of space on the fifth floor of the former Phillips Building Annex.  Museum Director/Curator, Karen Smith Woods, is very excited about the new museum.  “I really believe that residents and visitors alike will be impressed with the design of our new facility,” Smith Woods said.  Space is allocated to a permanent exhibit area, changing exhibits gallery, museum store, collection storage and workroom, one-room schoolhouse and an administrative area.  November 18, 2000 marked the Grand opening of the NEW Bartlesville Area History Museum.
